Biography
Joyce Tita Takang, PMP, Security+, is a data governance, technology, and business leader with more than 15 years of experience spanning education, financial services, cloud technology, and the U.S. federal environment. She began her professional journey teaching and preparing students for international examinations before moving into human resource management in the banking sector and later transitioning into technology. Her career has since encompassed banking technology, cloud computing, database management, cybersecurity, enterprise data governance, and digital transformation, including experience at Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Today, she leads database management and data governance initiatives within a U.S. federal enterprise environment and also serves as an independent consultant, bringing her expertise to complex business and technology challenges, with a growing focus on responsible AI adoption and governance.
Joyce holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Post-graduate in Human Resource Management, along with professional credentials including Project Management Professional (PMP), CompTIA Security+, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate. She is currently pursuing an Executive Doctor of Business Administration, with research interests in AI governance, organizational transformation, operational risk, digital trust, and workforce readiness. Drawing on her multidisciplinary background in economics, education, human capital, financial services, and technology, Joyce is passionate about bridging academia and industry and helping prepare the next generation of African graduates to be globally competitive, entrepreneurial, technologically capable, and equipped to create meaningful economic and social impact.
